Traumatic Eye Injury
 Tomoka Eye will be discussing common and uncommon eye trauma for the annual Florida Council of Operating Room Nurses. Dr. Root will be discussing common eye trauma treated by our practice in the acute setting (such as in our local hospitals). Topics to be reviewed include:
- motor-vehicle injuries
- gun-shot, BB gun wounds
- open globe injuries
- orbital wall fractures
- hyphema
- traumatic cataract
- eyelid lacerations
This lecture will occur on June 28th in Daytona Beach. Location to be announced.

Age-Related Eye Disease and Treatments
Dr. Root will be discussing common eye ailments that occur with aging. We will focus on cataracts, macular degeneration, and glaucoma … but will open up the discussion to any eye-related questions you may have.
